•CITY OF SOUTH BEND OFFICE OF THE CLERK <br /> Clerk Dawn Jones is asking for the positions wage to be at the cap in order to recruit more <br /> individuals who are qualified. Committee Chair Sheila Niezgodski referenced the hiring <br /> bonus and asked city controller, Kyle Willis, to seek more information on the topic of the <br /> hiring bonus of$4,000. <br /> There was open dialogue amongst council members Canneth Lee, and Chair Sheila <br /> Neizgodski. <br /> The Committee Vice Chair Warner sent Bill No. 06-23 to the Committee of the Whole with <br /> a favorable recommendation. <br /> Council member Canneth Lee seconded the motion. <br /> Motion passed with five ayes. <br /> Tomas Morgan - aye Sheila Niezgodski - aye <br /> Eli Wax -aye Troy Warner- aye <br /> Canneth Lee-aye <br /> Bill NO. 06-23 will be sent to the Committee of the Whole with a favorable recommendation. <br /> Bill No. 08-23 <br /> Kyle Willis, City Controller with offices located on the 12th floor of the County-City <br /> Building, presented Bill No. 08-23. <br /> This bill is appropriate for the Director of Diversity and Inclusion and Human Rights <br /> Executive Director. Wants the same salaries for leadership throughout the city. <br /> Sandra Kennedy, Corporation Counsel, 12th floor of the County City Building, Legal <br /> Department, stated the current part time city Attorney, has submitted her letter of retirement, <br /> and would like to make this position a full time. City Attorney has been part time since 2012 <br /> and would like all employee's full time. <br /> There is open dialogue between council members Eli Wax, Rachel Tomas Morgan and Karen <br /> White.
