• ORDINANCE NO. 7 (031,- Vo AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF DISCHARGE PERMIT FEES STATMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT WHEREAS, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) has established regulations requiring the City of South Bend to establish a pre-Treatment program. WHEREAS, the program established by the City of South Bend has been approved by the USEPA and the State of Indiana. WHEREAS, the Common Council is the appropriate agency to establish fees for discharge permits . The Council now finds that the following fees are regulated to the cost of the service. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows : SECTION I. Each permit will be issued for a base fee of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) . 2. For each additional sampling point there will be a charge of an additional One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) . SECTION II. Section 17-47(d) ( 6) shall be amended by adding the following : 1 . The permit is for a period of five (5) years but may be revoked or rescinded if the applicant is not in conformity with the provisions of Section 17-25 of the Municipal Code of South Bend . SECTION III. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor, and legal publication.
