STAFF REPORT <br /> APC INITIATED 4998-86 January 9, 1986 <br /> 4500/4640 New Cleveland Road <br /> South Bend <br /> REQUESTED ACTION: This is a petition initiated by the Area Plan <br /> Commission to zone property recently annexed into <br /> the City of South Bend, from "A" Residential , "A" <br /> Height and Area to "D" Light In11_ _ ial dustr' , "A" <br /> Height and Area. <br /> EXISTING LAND USE: The property contains the facilities of Trans Tech <br /> Electric, Inc. <br /> SURROUNDING LAND USE AND ZONING: Located to the north, east and west is vacant land <br /> zoned "R" Residential in St. Joseph County, and to <br /> the south across New Cleveland Road is the Indiana <br /> Toll Road. <br /> ACCESS: Access to the site is from New Cleveland Road. <br /> February 11 , 1986 <br /> STAFF COMMENTS: This petition was tabled at the Commission meeting <br /> of January 21 , 1984. It was tabled until the <br /> Common Council acted on the ordinance to annex the <br /> property. That ordinance was approved on February <br /> 3, 1986. <br />
