Creating a model for youth involvement; and <br />VIII. Partnering with local, state, federal, and international organizations <br />which focus on youth involvement and development. <br />7. Indicators of measuring success <br />(b) The Youth Advisory Council shall interact with school and governmental officials <br />for the creation of an official website which would be monitored and maintained by the City of <br />South Bend in calendar years ending in odd-numbered years and by the South Bend Community <br />School Corporation in calendar years ending in even-numbered years. <br />(c) The Youth Advisory Council shall make recommendations to enhance participation <br />of youth throughout the community, to improve communications with school and governmental <br />entities, and to improve employment opportunities for youth in the community. <br />(d) At the first Common Council meeting of each yeaz, the Youth Advisory Council <br />shall address the Common Council under the "Special Business" portion to provide an annual <br />report of its activities, initiatives and objectives. <br />SEC. 2-12.1.6 LIAISONS TO THE YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL. <br />(a) The Chairperson of the Common Council's Community Relations Committee shall <br />be the legislative liaison to the Youth Advisory Council and be available for mentoring duties. <br />(b) The Mayor shall designate one of his Administrative Assistants to be the <br />Administrative liaison to the Youth Advisory Council and be available for mentoring duties. <br />(c) The School Superintendent for the South Bend Community School Corporation <br />shall designate at least one (1) high school principal to be the educational liaison to the Youth <br />Advisory Council and be available for mentoring duties. <br />(d) The Principal, Head of School or Administrator of each private high school shall <br />designate one (1} individual from their high school to be the educational liaison to the Youth <br />Advisory Council and be available for mentoring duties. <br />Section II.
