ORDINANCE NO. 7(o (O - (t, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED IN 5200 BLOCK OF WEST LINDEN AVENUE IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: SECTION I. Ordinance No. 4990-68, as amended, which ordinance is commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, be and the same hereby is amended in order that the zoning classification of the following described real estate in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana: A part of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 8, Township 37 North, Range 2 East in Portage Township, City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the North line of said Section 490.00 feet North 90° 00 ' 00" East (assumed bearing) of the Northwest corner of said Northeast 1/4 of Section 8; thence South 00° 00 ' 00" East 533.28 feet; thence South 89° 56' 15" East 10 .84 feet; thence Easterly 143.17 feet along an arc to the left having a radius of 683 .58 feet and subtended by a long chord having a bearing of North 84° 03' 49" East and a length of 142.91 feet; thence North 78° 03' 45" East 43 .64 feet; thence Northerly 219 .67 feet along an arc to the right having a radius of 1203.395 feet and subtended by a long chord having a bearing of North 05° 13' 46" West and a length of 219 .36 feet; thence North 00° 00 ' 00" East 291.03 feet to the North line of said Section, said point being 206 .00 feet North 90° 00' 00" West of the Northwest corner of Bellewood 3rd Unit, an addition to the City of South Bend recorded in Plat Book 21, Page B-9 and B-9A, December 16 , 1963 in the St. Joseph County Recorder's Office; thence North 90° 00' 00" West along the North line of said Section, 176 .07 feet to the point of beginning and containing 2.1625 acres more or less, being lots 174 thru 181 and the Easterly half of Lot 182 in the proposed plat of Mayflower 5th Unit to the City of South Bend for which preliminary approval was granted by the Area Plan Commission of St. Joseph County, Indiana, March 21, 1972. be and the same is hereby established as "C" Commercial, "A" Height and Area.
