Klosinski, P.E., Assistant City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: 119-069A WWTP Final Clarifiers 4 and 5, Aeration Tanks 1-4 and <br />Disinfection Improvements <br />Project Completion Affidavit (PROJ00000078, PO-0005021) <br />DATE: October 3, 2023 <br /> <br />The Division of Engineering and Division of Wastewater recommend the Board of Public <br />Works approval of the Project Completion Affidavit for Project No. 119-069A Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant Final Clarifiers 4 and 5, Aeration Tanks 1-4, and Disinfection <br />Improvements. <br /> <br />Project Summary: <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant improvements included: <br /> Final Clarifier 4 and 5 mechanism replacement, sludge ring, concrete troughs, new <br />weirs, and RAS flow meter installation. <br /> Aeration Tanks 1-4 work included four new effluent channel gates and four new <br />electric actuators. Obsolete process piping was removed and a stop log isolation <br />system was installed for the back, effluent channel. <br /> The Disinfection Building was upgraded to receive new tank scales, chlorine <br />evaporator equipment, sulfur dioxide evaporator equipment, process piping, a <br />scrubber system, and updated HVAC components in the tank storage room. <br /> <br />Project Construction Cost Summary: <br />Original Contract: $4,272,999.00 <br />Change Orders 1-4 (increase): $ 212,906.23, +4.98% <br />Final Construction Cost: $4,485,905.23 <br /> <br />This project was funded through Sewage Works, Wastewater Capital Account 642-06- <br />605-514-442005. <br /> <br />For questions regarding the subject agenda request, contact Jacob M.
