Where berms are not possible due to space limitations, the parking shall be screened though the use of coniferous 8. trees and/or appropriate shrub plantings or screen walls. 5. A minimum of fifty percent (50%) of the space between a public street and parking bts or buildings shall be planted in irrigated lawn with the lawn on the street side of the landscaped area, in order to preserve a visually continuous lawn planting along public str-Bets, This lawn planting may be interrupted with shrub beds at entry points and in key accent areas as appropriate. 6. All plantings shall be per the Plant Materials Guidelines. 7. The minimum amount of tree planting for each lot is as follows (refer to the Plant Materials Guidelines for species and s¢e): a. One tree minimum for every 200 sq.ft. of planting space in parking islands. b. No .fewer than 60 trees per acre of open space. Required parking lot island trees .may not be included in this count unless they are contained in islands larger than 500 sq.ft. in size. Every effort shall be made to preserve as many existing trees as is reasonably practicable. In the .event a healthy tree of four (4) or more inches in caliper must be removed or destroyed to permit construction, it shall be moved to another portion of the Site or replaced by tree of similar size and species. Replacement trees as stated in this requirement may not be counted to meet the requirements of Section 7b. 9. All areas not paved or built upon, but disturbed during the construction period must be landscaped with trees and irrigated lawn. Large uninterrupted areas of gravel or bare soil is prohibited. 10.
