Walls are brick with terra cotta details. Flat roof with parapet wall with oval arcade and terra cotta details. <br />ALTERATIONS: AA #2023-0815 approved the addition of lights and address numbers to front façade and the <br />replacement of broken glass. AA #2022-1101 approved the replacement of the roof. AA #2020-0515, #2021-1105, <br />#2022-0316 approved installation of security lights, replace missing glass, masonry repairs and landscaping. <br />APPLICATION ITEMS: “Update the façade (see attached rendering for detail of the following) including un- <br />boarding the storefront; repairing broken glass panes; adding French doors to the main opening, adding signage <br />naming the building “Monarch” to honor the original use of the building by Monarch Printing Co.; add lighting <br />add building numbers above new main entrance; Repair masonry and tuck point brick and cinder block as needed. <br />And windows and garage door back in cinder block building (salvaged windows will be used to match the style of <br />the front of the building and garage door selection tbd).” <br />DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT: The applicant has requested approval to: <br />1. Unboard the front façade. <br />2. Install sign “Monarch” on front facade. <br />3. Install French doors to main opening. <br />4. Install salvaged windows in rear addition. <br />5. Install new garage door in rear addition. <br />6. Repair masonry as needed <br />7. Add lighting and building numbers (AA #2023-0815) <br />8.
