Purpose Statement: The purpose of this document is to serve as a reference for the siding project to be completed at 230 E Navarre St by Black Oak Renovations on behalf of Kadir Cizreliogullari.The document was put together by Zach Braswell,CEO of Black Oak Renovations. Description of Project: The Riverbend Historical Neighborhood has been a peaceful riverside community since 1992.However,its history goes much further into the past.The house at 230 E Navarre was built by Hammond and Whitcomb in the early-1920s.It first served as a home for a Steudebaker engineer in 1928.The house has deep ties to South Bend’s history,and serves as a reminder to the community of its roots. Over the course of time,the siding on the house has deteriorated.Black Oak Renovations (at the owner ’s request)has proposed to replace the entirety of the siding. After the existing siding is removed,new aesthetically similar siding will be installed on the house to bring it back to it’s original beauty.The current owner has done much to preserve and highlight the historical details on the house.This siding project would be a major contribution to this end.Using high quality material installed with care and precision,230 Navarre will continue to be an excellent example of not only South Bend’s rich past,but also of its bright future. Description of Materials: The siding material used will be a dutchlap rigid poly-vinyl-chloride siding.It will feature weathered wood-grain texture with a matte finish.The siding has a wind rating of 161 MPH,and meets/exceeds ASTM D3679 standards.
