REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 12, 2013 37 RATIFY APPROVAL OF EXCAVATION AND OCCUPANCY BONDS Mr. Anthony Molnar, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following Excavation and Occupancy Bonds be ratified pursuant to Resolution 100 -2000 as follows: Business Bond Type Yp Approved) Released Effective Date G &M Pride, Inc. DBA Faubion Excavation Approved January 22, 2013 Plumbing, Heating & A/C St. Joseph County Housing Consortium $100,371.38 01/14/2013 Custom & More Tree Ex perts, Inc. Occupancy Approved January 28, 2013 Ms. Roos made a motion that the Bonds approval as outlined above be ratified. Mr. Mecham seconded the motion, which carried. APPROVE CLAIMS Mr. Neal stated that a request to pay the following claims in the amounts indicated has been received by the Board; each claim is fully supported by an invoice; the person receiving the goods or services has approved the claims; and the claims have been filed with the City Fiscal Officer and certified for accuracy. Name Amount of Claim Date City of South Bend $1,727,070.06 02/12/2013 City of South Bend $20,898.75 02/05/2013 and 02/08/2013 St. Joseph County Housing Consortium $100,371.38 01/14/2013 Mr. Neal stated the St. Joseph County Consortium Claim is for housing renovations to a home on Cottage Grove Street. He noted this is a perfect example of how these renovations become excessive and are not a good use of funds. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roos that after review of the expenditures, the claims be approved as submitted, seconded by Mr. Mecham and carried, the Claims were approved.
