<br /> SECTION II . SICK LEAVE - Sick leave will be acrued at the rate
<br /> of eight (8) days per year, to be calculated at 2/3 days for each month
<br /> of completed employment. Employees hired prior to December 31, 1986 may
<br /> maintain the sick time accumulated. Effective January 1, 1987 their
<br /> maximum allowable accrual will be sixty-five ( 65 ) sick days. Employees
<br /> hired after January 1, 1987 will accrue sick leave at the rate of
<br /> eight ( 8) days per year or 2/3 days per month with a maximum allowable
<br /> accruable of forty-five ( 45 ) sick days.
<br /> SECTION III. ACCIDENT AND SICKNESS INDEMNITY -
<br /> An employee will be paid one hundred ($100 ) per week for seventeen ( 17 )
<br /> weeks after sixty-five ( 65) days of illness, or after their accumulated
<br /> sick time is used up, the 65 days being a minimum. Long term
<br /> disability coverage will take effect after six ( 6 ) months and will be
<br /> paid at the rate of 60% of an employee' s salary up to $1,000 per month.
<br /> HEALTH INSURANCE. The employer shall pay $10 .00 per month to
<br /> any employee who elects to leave the employer' s insurance program to
<br /> obtain insurance coverage through another program. This shall not be
<br /> mandatory and if necessary the employee may return to the City' s program
<br /> without the contribution of $10. 00 per month.
