• Inclement Weather Plan - This plan should include, but is not limited to: <br />o Safety measures that will be taken in the event of a tornado warning, tornadowatch, <br />thunderstorm, and extreme temperatures. <br />• Having an outdoor event can bring adjustments or even closures to an event. <br />Harsh heat: generally, October in Northern IN has cool temperatures. However, we understand South Bend <br />weather has the ability to shift. Therefore, if temperatures are extreme, we will cancel. <br />Tornado warnings/ watch will bring the event to an immediate close. We will direct all involved to seek shelter <br />immediately. <br />• Proposed Lost and Found Plan - This plan should include, but is not limited to: <br />o A description of the use of signage, announcements on public address systems or pre -event <br />handouts. <br />This parade or walk will simply use the city sidewalks. Leaders will watch over children with parents making sure <br />that everyone is accounted for. <br />Signage- Each walk will have a front banner saying "Jesus Walk" with a cation- Jesus loves you <br />Individuals will carry signs with the same expressions. Note: this is not a political march. <br />Many will have free Bibles to hand out as well. <br />Section H - Site Plan / Route Mao <br />• For parades, races and other processional events: <br />Are you selecting one of South Bend Police Department's (SBPD) pre -approved race routes? ❑ Yes ❑ No <br />You must select from SBPD's pre -approved race routes (see links on application site) or provide sufficient <br />evidence of event participation if the applicant is proposing a different route through South Bend. <br />If your event will not be using a pre -approved race route, the proposed event map should include a route plan <br />clearly identifying the timing and locations of proposed street closures, and the direction of parade <br />movement. <br />If your event will not be using a pre -approved race route, please explain <br />We desire to use public sidewalks.
