Geyer to zone from R <br />Single Family District (County) to CB Community Business District (City), property <br />located at 52610 Portage Road, City of South Bend - APC# 2472-08 <br />Dear Council Members: <br />I hereby Certify that the above referenced ordinance of William A. Geyer was legally advertised <br />on Thursday, May 8, 2008 and that the Area Plan Commission at its public hearing on Tuesday, <br />May 20, 2008 took the following action: <br />Upon a motion by John DeLee, being seconded by Dan Brewer and unanimously <br />carried, the proposed ordinance and site development plan of William A. Geyer to <br />zone from R Single Family District (County) to CB Community Business District <br />(City), property located at 52610 Portage Road, City of South Bend is sent to the <br />Common Council with a favorable recommendation subject to a written commitment <br />that will provide a 24 foot wide ingress and egress easement to connect with the <br />easement provided on the property to the north. The rezoning is a logical expansion <br />and in-fill of the existing commercial area. The property, which is currently within <br />St. Joseph County, is surrounding by the City of South Bend. The rezoning will <br />compliment the existing land uses in the area. <br />The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission and points considered in arriving at the above <br />decision are shown in the minutes of the public hearing, and will be forwarded to you at a later <br />date to be made a part of this report. <br />Sincerely, <br />~~ohn W.
