PUBLIC WORKS AND PROPERTY VACATION JUNE 23, 2008 <br />Committee Members Present: Councilmember's David Varner, Chairperson, Henry <br />Davis <br />Others Present: Councilmember Tim Rouse, Councilmember Karen White, Jeff Gibney, <br />Michael Danch, Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, John Voorde <br />Councilmember David Varner, Chairperson, Public Works and Property Vacation <br />Committee called the meeting to order at 3:36 p.m., and noted that this meeting is for <br />information purposes only as there was no quorum present to make recommendation to <br />full Council. <br />Councilmember Varner recognized Mike Danch, a registered surveyor, to explain the <br />request. <br />Mr. Danch supplemented by Jeff Gibney explained this area's parcels were being <br />assembled to create a marketable nano-technology park. <br />Councilmember Varner asked about the boundaries of the "park." Mr. Gibney said he <br />looked forward to the opportunity to outline the nano-technology park plans. <br />Councilmember Tim Rouse expressed the need to be ready for future development <br />opportunities. <br />No quorum prevented a recommendation. <br />BILL N0.40-08 ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION <br />This bill requests an appropriation totaling $4,155,446 for various capital expenditures in <br />2008. Catherine Fanello, assisted by Mayor Luecke outlined the requests in detail using <br />a handout attached to these minutes. The breakdown of funds drawn from included <br />$1,367,508 from the General Fund, $1,000,000 from Major Moves, $140,000 from Local <br />Road & Streets, $300,000 form MVH, $1,170,438 from Sewage Works, and $177,500 <br />from the Water Capital Fund. <br />No quorum resulted in no recommendation. <br />BILL N0.41-08 CORRECTION ON APPROPRIATION <br />The purpose of this bill is to make a technical bookkeeping correction to an appropriation <br />bill passed last year.
