SUBSTITUTE BILL NO. 37-23 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 10950-23 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br /> INDIANA,AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED <br /> 1215 AND 1217 VAN BUREN COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT NO. 2 IN THE CITY OF <br /> SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> Petitioners desire to rezone the property from U1 Urban Neighborhood 1 to U2 Urban <br /> Neighborhood 2. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, <br /> Indiana, as follows: <br /> SECTION I. Ordinance No. 10689-19, which ordinance is commonly known as the <br /> Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, be and the same hereby amended in order <br /> that the zoning classification of the following described real estate in the City of South Bend, St. <br /> Joseph County, State of Indiana: <br /> BEGINNING AT A POINT ON THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID LOT NUMBERED 81, <br /> 66 FEET WEST OF THE SOUTHEAST COMER OF SAID LOT, THENCE NORTH 120 <br /> FEET; THENCE WEST 33 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 120 FEET TO VAN BUREN STREET; <br /> THENCE EAST 33 FEET TO THE PLACE OF BEGINNING, TOGETHER WITH A RIGHT- <br /> OF-WAY OVER A STRIP 10 FEET IN WIDTH NORTH AND SOUTH EXTENDING FROM <br /> THE NORTH END OF SAID TRACT EAST TO A PUBLIC. <br /> COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1217 VANBURENT ST, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br /> A PART OF LOTS NO. EIGHTY-ONE (81), EIGHTY-TWO (82) AND EIGHTY- <br /> THREE (83) OF A.G. CUSHING'S FOURTH (4TH) ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SOUTH <br /> BEND, WHICH PART IS BOUNDED BY A LINE RUNNING AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING <br /> ON THE SOUTH LIKE OF SAID LOT EIGHTY-ON (81) AT A POINT THIRTY-THREE (33) <br /> FEET WEST OF THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SAID LOT 81, THENCE WEST <br /> THIRTYOTHREE (33) FEET, THENCE NORTH ONE HUNDRED TWENTY (120) FEET, <br /> THENCE EAST THIRTY-THREE (33) FEET, THENCE SOUTH ONE HUNDRED TWENTY <br /> (120) FEET TO THE PLACE OF BEGINNING. <br /> COMMONLY KNOWN AS 1215 W. VANBUREN, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br /> be and the same is hereby established as Urban Neighborhood 2. <br /> SECTION II. This ordinance is and shall be subject to commitments as provided by <br /> Chapter 21-12.07(0(7) Commitments, if applicable. <br /> SECTION III.
