SINCLAIR RECREATION
176 E. LAKEWOOD BLVD - HOLLAND. MI 49424 - (800)444-4954
Cole Center Family YMCA
(2019)
Owner: Cole Center Family YMCA
Location: 700 Garden St., Kendallville, IN 46755
Approximate Cost: $75,000
Contact: Dawn McGahen
Email: DMcGahengkendallville-in.oM
This project was started by 3 young
boys who wanted the place they come to after
school to have a playground. Along with a
supportive adult mentor, they raised the money
and asked the community to help them build a
playground. Sinclair Recreation worked with
the boys to design a playground. Rich Sinclair
and Rocki Stillson served as supervisors
during the community build, supplying the
tools and expertise over 2 days to build the
playground with volunteers from the
community. The boys were able to see the
project through from the beginning to the end.
One interesting item the boys requested was a
piece of equipment that would require
teamwork. The Merry Go All from GameTime
was a perfect fit to meet that request. Users
can work together to spin the wheel, causing
the whirl to spin.
