Battle Ground, IN GSC WWTP Upgrades / Battleground, IN Project Size: $2,794,500
Bowen, used a collaborative approach to bring this project in under budget and
under schedule. A success story from the project was the ability to re-use fill dirt
from a neighboring project which saved the Town money.

Our project presented a significant number of issues. We needed a total update of our existing WWTP, replacing and upgrading existing equipment that had deteriorated over 40 years of service. We also added new technologies such as screening and UV disinfection. All of this had to be built within the same plant footprint, constrained by the surrounding flood plain, while maintaining waste treatment operations.
Bowen personnel brought a great depth of experience to this process. Initially, they helped to refine the design and identify cost savings that could bring the project down to our budget threshold. This kind of design revision would be unheard of in the “bid/build” world. During this stage, Bowen identified additional opportunities for Green Project Reserve- helping us to secure a financing discount with SRF.
RESOURCEFUL. RESPONSIVE.
