A success story from the project was the ability to re -use fill dirt <br />• New energy efficient sewage pumps <br />from a neighboring project which saved the Town money. <br />• New clarifiers <br />• Rehab of aeration basins <br />G New UV Disinfection <br />• Renovation <br />G New Headworks Process <br />Material: <br />G New Clarifiers <br />• Ultra Violet (UV) equipment <br />• Fine Screens <br />• Sewage pumps <br />!! Our project presented a significant number of issues. We <br />Project Highlights <br />needed a total update of our existing WWTP, replacing <br />• SRF Financed Project <br />and upgrading existing equipment that had deteriorated <br />• Open -Book Pricing <br />over 40 years of service. We also added new technologies <br />• UV Disinfection <br />such as screening and UV disinfection. All of this had <br />• Complete New Headworks <br />to be built within the same plant footprint, constrained <br />Project Team <br />by the surrounding flood plain, while maintaining waste <br />• Project Manager: Pat Stanford <br />treatment operations. <br />• Superintendent: Jake Wade <br />• Superintendent: Tony Abitua <br />Bowen personnel brought a great depth of experience <br />to this process. Initially, they helped to refine the <br />design and identify cost savings that could bring the <br />project down to our budget threshold. This kind of <br />design revision would be unheard of in the "bid/build" <br />world. During this stage, Bowen identified additional <br />opportunities for Green Project Reserve- helping us to <br />secure a financing discount with SRF.
