City of South Bend <br />GSC Pinkhook WTP Improvements / South Bend, IN Project Size: $1,785,000 / February 2021 - January 2022 <br />The Pinhook Water Treatment Plant was experiencing several issues related to <br />aging filters and equipment and selected selected Bowen to update and repair <br />the plant. This process involved completing filter rehabilitation by removing the <br />existing media, cant strips, and caps and then installing a new IMS 200 caps, <br />cant strips, and reinstalling the existing media after its been fixed. In addition, <br />Bowen replaced several valves and actuators, and cleaned the clearwell. <br />Project Challenges:• Bowen completed all changes while working in an active facility <br />Bowen Resourceful:• Utilized craft’s expert knowledge to discover problematic areas within plant <br />and fix them efficiently <br />Bowen Responsive: • Bowen collaborated closely with owner to create a plan of action in solving <br />WTP issues <br />Bowen Results:• Bowen overcame schedule / budget constraints to successfully achieve <br />the project on time, and returned savings back to the City. <br />RESOURCEFUL.
