From:

Subject:Fw: Charles A, Reger application for C of A.
Date:Monday, May 29, 2023 4:53:07 PM
Dear Mr. Toering,
I have forwarded the application for Certificate of Authenticity along with the application fee to your offices. It should be there in the next couple of days. The attached photos are part of that application. The first is a picture of an HPC railing (going up the steps) that I have asked my contractor to essentially
duplicate. This is on the Sharon Love house across the street from my house. I believe this step railing was approved by HPC. The railing will only be on the North side of the steps as the current mailbox configuration prevents one on the South side. This new addition is tied to my wife's mobility problems and
therefore will provide safety and security for her and be consistent with the architecture of the house. The next two photos represent the scale of the current steps and their state of disrepair. We 'inherited' these steps when we purchased the house in late 1989. I repaired them approximately 5 years ago and
additional deterioration has since taken place. I would like to replace them with composite wood steps of a color that closely matches the current brick red color. The steps will be enclosed at either end to prevent animal intrusion under the steps (or porch). The replacement steps will be comparable in width and
step size to the original.
We are ready to move forward with completing this project upon HPC approval. I am requesting that this request be expedited as these steps are a danger. Your serious and expeditious consideration of my request is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Charles A. Reger

Sent: Monday, May 29, 2023 4:27 PM
To: Chuck Reger <regerc@charlesreger.com>
Subject:
