t 4mmittu Voort: <br /> i1ti1itigs an Versonnti ana finantt tommittecs <br /> The September 24, 2001 joint meeting of the Utilities and Personnel and Finance Committees was <br /> called to order by Utilities Chairperson, Council Member Al `Buddy" Kirsits at 4:15 p.m. in the <br /> Council Informal Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Coleman, Varner, White, Pfeifer, Kirsits, <br /> Aranowski, King, and Kelly; Mayor Stephen J. Luecke, Tom Skarbek, Citizen Member Kevin <br /> Hunter, Mr. Alan Feldbaum, Robert Case, Jack Dillon, Terry Bland of the §5outii 3enb <br /> Sribuni and Kathy Cekanski Farrand, Council Attorney. <br /> Council Member Kirstis noted that the first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 92-01 which <br /> would authorize the issuance of bonds regarding the refund of the Sewage Works Revenue Bonds <br /> of 1993. <br /> Mr. John J. Dillon, Director of the Division of Environmental Services, made the presentation. <br /> Mr. Dillon stated that the ordinance would result in a savings of approximately $ 200,000. <br /> In response to a question from Dr. Varner, Mr. Dillon noted that the $ 200,000 figure is a net <br /> savings amount on the 1993 bonds. <br /> Mr. Alan Feldbaum,the Attorney on the bond issue, noted that the Board of Public Works adopted <br /> a resolution on this matter and filed a copy of it with the Council Attorney. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Coleman made a motion, seconded by Council Member <br /> King, that Bill No. 92-01 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. <br /> Council Member King inquired about the progress being made on the listing of residential areas not <br /> being served by water and sewer, noting that he had made this request some time ago of Mr. Gilot. <br /> Mr. Dillon stated that he would bring it to the attention of Mr. Gilot and Mr. Littrell, noting that <br /> there was discussion on it several months ago. <br /> There being no further business to come before the joint Committees, Council Member Kirstis <br /> adjourned the meeting at 4:18 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Council Member Al"Buddy"Kirstis, Chairperson <br /> Utilities Committee <br /> Council Member James Aranowski, Chairperson <br /> Personnel and Finance Committee <br /> KCF:kmf <br /> Attachments <br /> • <br />
