<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Board of Public Works March 20th, 2023 <br />City of South Bend, Indiana <br />Honorable Board Members, <br />The South Bend Police Department is requesting Board approval for the disposal of surplus/obsolete <br />equipment no longer of use to the South Bend Police Department. The equipment in question is one <br />Ocean System dTective AVID Computer System (serial numbers: 22262OS, 4026700508, and F00292DC). <br />The current device is over fifteen years old and is no longer serviceable due to changes in technology. It <br />cannot be used or updated. Furthermore, the South Bend Police Department Detective Bureau & Crime <br />Lab have since utilized more modern systems for replacement. <br />The AVID system would be taken to the Saint Joseph County Household Waste Facility (828 Kerr St.) for <br />destruction and recycling. <br /> <br /> <br />Thank you, <br /> <br />___________________________ <br />PFC Aaron M.
