Office Improvements and Upgrades <br /> 11. Space Needs Study of Public Safety Operations. <br /> Council Member Aranowski suggested that the meeting with the State <br /> Representatives and State Senators be held following the November election. <br /> City Controller Cathy Roemer noted that the Council's computer may be <br /> scheduled for replacement currently. The Council President asked for an update <br /> on that item as soon as possible. <br /> Council President Pfeifer noted that she and Council Member Aranowski were at a traffic <br /> calming meeting today and that a proposed ordinance will soon be introduced. <br /> Council Member Kelly inquired if anyone had read today's editorial in the ibouth Ven4 <br /> trvibunt addressing a unified police service. He noted that he would be willing to look into this <br /> topic. Council President Pfeifer noted that in 1976 you had to contact four (4) separate police <br /> departments for information and today the same procedures are in place, noting that discussion is <br /> long overdue on this topic. Council Member Ujdak suggested that fire services also be studied. <br /> Council President Pfeifer requested capital requests be submitted to her by December so <br /> that they can be proposed for the capital budget to be heard in February 2001. <br /> Council Member Aranowski noted that the Council Attorney has provided a "Council <br /> Attorney Annual Report" which has expanded areas of information (copy attached).
