He noted that
the proposed appropriation is from the$200,000 grant from the Environmental Protection Agency
to develop database and a Geographic Information System(SIS) mapping system including but not
limited to the South Main and West Washington areas. It would also be used for Phase I
environmental site assessments and cover supply and travel expenses.
Following discussion, Council Member Varner made a motion, seconded by Council
Member White that Bill No. 90-00 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed.
Under miscellaneous business, Council Member Aranowski noted that he had met with the
City Controller and reviewed all of the"bullet points"highlighted in each of the minutes from the
Personnel and Finance meetings where the proposed 2000 civil city budget was discussed.
Council Member Aranwoski noted that he and the Controller have proposed that each of
the affected Department Heads would be contacting each of the various Council Committee
Chairpersons to arrange updates and committee meeting dates so that each of the"bullet points"can
be properly discussed.
There being no further business to come before the Committee, the meeting was adjourned
by Council Member Aranowski at 5:10 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Council Member James Aranowski, Chairperson
Personnel and Finance Committee
KCF:kmf
Attachments
