atommittts tport: <br /> Public Works and Property Vacation Committee <br /> So the Common Cou til of tht City of koutt tub: <br /> The February 28, 2000 meeting of the Public Works and Property Vacation Committee <br /> was called to order by its Chairperson, Council Member David Varner at 3:45 p.m. in the <br /> Council informal meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included: Council Members Pfeifer, King, Varner, Ujdak, Kelly, <br /> White, Aranowski, Coleman, and Kirsits; Jack Dillon, Ann Kolata, James A. Masters, <br /> Felipe Merino, Terry Bland of the ROtttb *1 fl hribttft, and Kathleen Cekanski- <br /> Farrand, Council Attorney. <br /> Council Member Varner noted that the members of the Committee included Council <br /> Members King, Aranowski, Kirsits and himself as well as Citizen Member Khadijah <br /> Muhammad. <br /> Dr. Varner noted that Ann Kolata, Deputy Executive Director of the Community and <br /> Economic Development Department sent a letter on February 25th requesting that Bill No. <br /> 24-00 regarding the proposed vacation of Tutt Street between Main and Lafayette be <br /> continued until the March 13th meeting (copy attached). The Committee was presented <br /> with three(3) documents from Attorney James A. Masters formally advising the Council <br /> of a remonstrance against the proposed vacation of Tutt Street on behalf of his clients,Peter <br /> J. Nemeth and Peter H.Mullen (copies attached). <br /> The Committee then reviewed Bill No. 17-00 which is a request to vacate the first east/west <br /> alley south of Sherwood Street for a distance of 165 feet. <br /> Mr.Felipe Merino made the presentation. He noted that the alley does not physically exit, <br /> however was advised by the Area Plan Commission,that this process would be necessary <br /> to correct the official documents for this area. <br /> The Council Attorney noted that the Board of Public Works sends this Bill to the Council <br /> with a favorable recommendation. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Aranowski made a motion, seconded by Council <br /> Member King that Bill No. 17-00 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion <br /> passed. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Committee,the meeting was adjourned <br /> by Dr. Varner at 3:48 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> es <br /> P Y <br /> Council Member David A.
