We have <br />designed numerous multi- <br />modal transportation projects <br />including urban trails offering <br />vital connections to important resources for <br />citizens. Recently, we have contributed to regional <br />trail systems in the cities of Greenfleld, Goshen, <br />and La Porte. <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND | Des. No. 2201235 | March 14, 2023 <br />COAL LINE TRAIL <br />PHASE 3 <br />A CREATIVE APPROACH <br />Lochmueller’s Senior Landscape <br />Architect, Laurel Harrington, PLA, <br />ASLA, LEED AP BD+C, Lead Trail <br />Design Engineer Ryan Clark, PE, <br />and our Historian / Cultural Resources Specialist, <br />Hannah Blad, will collaborate on a plan that <br />enhances the health of the community, infuses the <br />length of trail with historic and cultural context, <br />and offers a beautiful and calming streetscape for <br />the neighborhood to enjoy. <br />Lochmueller Group (Lochmueller) is pleased to present this <br />Letter of Intent to the City of South Bend for Phase 3 of the <br />Coal Line Trail. Our urban trail planning, design, and <br />engineering services are perfectly suited to meet every <br />expectation you have for this project. In fact, we know this <br />path provides more than just a healthy walk through the <br />neighborhood. Because Phase 3 culminates at the new <br />Martin Luther King, Jr. Dream Center at College Street and <br />Linden Avenue, it will provide a vital connection to important <br />resources the neighborhood desires. Our local offlce is ready <br />and excited to be a part of this transformation that will <br />improve urban trail access for all of South Bend ’s citizens. <br /> <br />Let’s get started!
