The Coal Line Trail will provide a connection from the newly renovated
Martin Luther King Jr. Center north along College Avenue to Angela Boulevard and other trail
connections such as East Bank and SR 933 Trail. While DLZ was not involved in the first 2 phases, we
feel like our extensive trail experience would be able to contribute to the City’s efforts to complete this
phase 3 portion of the Coal Line Trail.
The DLZ team has experience in seeing the whole picture and not just concrete sidewalk and curb
ramps. We have successfully delivered innovative solutions that have saved our clients time and money
on similar projects. In addition, on Federal Aid projects you want a designer well versed in guiding
projects through the INDOT LPA process. Our proposed DLZ team has extensive Trail design experience
including SR 933 Trail, LaSalle Trail, IUSB Trail, and multiple other trail projects noted in our project
experience.
Your DLZ Project Manager will be Mathieu Doyle, PE. Matt has been directly responsible for pedestrian
projects and is currently working on the Kennedy Park Improvements. Matt understands the needs and
constraints that connect impact your project. We are confident that you will agree after reviewing our
team’s qualifications that the DLZ team is best suited to lead this project for the City.
Respectfully submitted,
DLZ Indiana, LLC
Mathieu Doyle, PE
Project Manager
Rendering of what Coal Line Trail along
College Street may look like
