QGommittn *oat: <br /> ublir 1Porkis an4 Vro rertt Varation (ommittte <br /> The August 28, 2000 meeting of the Public Works and Property Vacation Committee was <br /> called to order by its Chairperson, Council Member David Varner at 3:45 pm in the Council <br /> Informal Meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Aranowski, Kelly,King, Varner, Ujdak, <br /> and White;Travis Saunier and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand, Council Attorney. <br /> Council Member noted that the first item on the agenda Bill No. 64-00 regarding the <br /> vacation of the first north/south alley east of Michigan Street has been requested by the Petitioner to <br /> be continued until the September 25th meeting. (Letter from Steve Rudisell dated August 24th <br /> attached). <br /> The next item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 70-00 which is a vacation request for <br /> the strip Chippewa of land 150' north of the southwest corner of Lot 165 in the Chi Heights Addition. <br /> g <br /> Dr. Varner noted that the Board of Public Works sends the request to the Council with a favorable <br /> recommendation(copy attached). <br /> Mr. Travis R. Saunier, an engineer with GPD Associates of Akron, Ohio, made the <br /> presentation. He noted that the vacation is necessary for the rebuilding of the Taco Bell on Ireland <br /> Road. The easement in question has been determined to be unnecessary by the Public Works <br /> Department who recommended that it be vacated. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Aranowski made a motion, seconded by Council <br /> Member King,that Bill No. 70-00 be recommended favorably to Council.
