UNITED CONSULTING // City of South Bend - Safe Routes to School (Des #2201237)7
SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL
KENNEDY ACADEMY
The Indianapolis Cultural Trail is an urban bike and pedestrian path connecting together five downtown cultural districts and the entire greenways system.
The project constructed eight miles of new, shared-use paths and sidewalks in and around downtown Indianapolis, highlighting adjacent cultural districts,
incorporating art into public spaces, and emphasizing green and context-sensitive design. Every intersection required careful consideration of the interactions
between vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic.
The project was a collaborative effort by the Indianapolis
Department of Public Works and Central Indiana
Community Foundation.
Services Provided by United:
‹Survey
‹Project Management Services
‹Road Design and Plans
‹Hydraulic Design
‹Bioretention Pond Design and Plans
‹Environmental Services
‹Regulatory Permit Management
‹Construction Administration
RELEVANT PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Indianapolis Cultural Trail
V
I
R
G
I
N
I
A

A
V
E
.
V
I
R
G
I
N
I
A

A
V
E
.
WASHINGTON ST.WASHINGTON ST.CULTURAL TRAIL
OHIO ST AND ALABAMA STREET ALABAMA ST.ALABAMA ST.BLACKFORD ST.BLACKFORD ST.MASS AVE.MASS AVE.WALNUT ST.WALNUT ST.
DOWNTOWN INDIANAPOLIS - CULTURAL TRAIL
