r, , <br /> <br /> <br />s <br />EXHIBIT A <br />FURTHER DESCRIPTION OF BASIC ENGINEERING: SERVICES AND RELATED MATTERS <br />Paragraph 3.3. Design <br />3.3.1. Prepare plan and profile sheets from aerial survey data. <br />3.3.2. Prepare plans in accordance with the Indiana Department <br />of Transportation (INDOT) Design Manual, Volumes I and II. <br />3.3.3. Review OWNER's standards and specifications for conflicts <br />with INDOT criteria. Recommend and receive OWNER's <br />approval of procedure where such conflicts occur. <br />3.3.4. Water lines and sanitary sewer lines are to be shown on <br />the road design plan sheets unless separate sheets are <br />required for clarity. Use of separate plan sheets is to <br />be reviewed by the OWNER and OWNERS concurrence received. <br />3.3.5. Storm Drainage <br />:3.3.5.1. Provide roadway storm drainage in accordance <br />with III-B. <br />3.3.5.2. Recommend and receive OWNER'S concurrence for <br />off site retention and/or detention of storm <br />water. <br />3.3.5.3. Design shall include transportation to off site <br />storm water retention and/or detention sites. <br />3.3.5.4. Provide plats and legal descriptions for <br />drainage easements and/or dedication for off <br />site storage areas. <br />3.3.5.5. Provide coordination with other Public Agencies <br />having authority over storm v.~ater drainage <br />including, as required, the St. Joseph County <br />Drainage Board, the Indiana Toll Road, INDOT, <br />Indiana Department of Natural Resources and the <br />Corps of Engineers. <br />3.3.5.6. Item III-E-5 shall be interpreted to include <br />wetlands. <br />3.3.6. I/N Kote Sanitary Sewer <br />Provide coordination and provisions for construction of <br />• the I/N Kote Sanitary Sewer and appurtenances. <br />Paragraph 3.4. Adjacent Roadways and Streets <br />Portions of this design is dependent upon the design of adjacent <br />projects being processed concurrently or early in the design <br />period. If these projects are not advanced, ENGINEER will be <br />required to perform preliminary investigations as additional <br />services. <br />Paragraph 3.5. Water Line <br />Design of the water line to loop by completing a connection in <br />existing Old Cleveland Road right-of-way. <br />3of5 <br />
