+ ommtt port: <br /> Utilities Committee <br /> to tbr Common Coin t1 of tile Qitt of touts ): <br /> The August 23, 1999 meeting of the Utilities Committee was called to order by its <br /> Chairperson, Council Member Sniadecki at 4:25 p.m. in the Council informal meeting <br /> room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Coleman, Varner, Aranowski, Kelly, <br /> Sniadecki, and King; John Byorni, Mike Beitzinger, Ann Kolata, Phil Faccenda, Terry <br /> Bland, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Council Member Sniadecki noted that the first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. <br /> 65-99 which is an ordinance addressing the construction of improvements at the Municipal <br /> Waterworks facility, and which would authorize the issuance of revenue bonds not to <br /> exceed two million fifty thousand doIIars <br /> Mr. Faccenda,Jr., made the presentation. He noted that the bill would authorize a revenue <br /> bond and would not involve a rate increase. Mr. Stancati would be present at the 7 p.m. <br /> Council meeting to address any techinical questions on the measure. The project in <br /> addition to a new building would also increase the city's water services to 12 million <br /> gallons per day. <br /> Council Member Varner inquired whether this matter was part of the Master Plan, and was <br /> advised that it was by Mr. Faccenda. <br /> Council Member King noted that the additional filtration is necessary in order to treat the <br /> contaminants. <br /> Council Member Sniadecki noted that since the Committee did not have a quorum, that no <br /> formal action on the Bill could be taken.
