Comm Ztport: <br /> Community and Economic Development Committee <br /> to the common tountfl of he of tv of fo ttfj lain : <br /> The September 28, 1998 meeting of the Community and Economic Development <br /> Committee was called to order by its Chairperson, Council Member Roland Kelly at 3:45 <br /> p.m. in the Council informal meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Aranowski, Pfeifer, Kelly, Broden, <br /> Varner,Ujdak, and Coleman; Nancy Van Scoyk,David Anthony and Kathleen Cekanski- <br /> Farrand. <br /> Council Member Kelly noted that the first Bill to be reviewed was Bill No. 98-141 which is <br /> a five(5)year residential real property tax abatement request filed by Phoenix Development <br /> for the properties located at 1911, 1915, 1919, and 1923 S. Walnut Street and 416 and 420 <br /> S. Kenmore Street. <br /> Nancy E. Van Scoyk reviewed the September 16, 1998 Community and Economic Report <br /> (copy attached) which found that the project meets the qualifications for a five year <br /> residential real property tax abatement. She noted among other things that six (6) new <br /> model homes would be built at a per unit cost of$69,500 for a total project cost of <br /> $ 417,000. <br /> The petitioner,David Anthony,then provided further details. <br /> In response to a question raised by Councilmember Ujdak, Mr. Anthony stated that all <br /> homes would be stick built. <br /> Upon a motion made by Councilmember Broden, seconded by Councilmember Pfeifer, <br /> P Y y Y <br /> Bill No. 98-141 was unanimously recommended favorably to the entire Council. <br /> Y Y <br /> There being no further business to come before the Committee,the meeting was adjourned <br /> at 3:50 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Roland Kelly, Chairperson <br /> Community and Economic Development Committee <br /> Attachments <br /> • <br />
