She stated that <br /> several residents have voiced concern over ground water contamination. Mr. Faust, an <br /> engineer with the company stated that a representative from the company would be willing <br /> to meet with the residents and address their concerns. He noted that the company is <br /> working closely with IDEM. <br /> Council Member Pfeifer also requested a specific breakdown of minority workers. The <br /> company representatives noted that approximately 40 % of the workforce were women. <br /> Council President Coleman spoke in favor of the proposed abatement. <br /> Council Member Broden spoke in favor of the project and then made a motion, seconded <br /> by Council Member Sniadecki that Bill No. 98-80 be recommended favorably to Council. <br /> The motion passed. <br /> Under miscellaneous business, Council Member Kelly noted that appointments to the <br /> Urban Enterprise Association will be made. Such appointments would include Karen <br /> Copley and Conrad Damein.
