<br /> The April 27, 1998 meeting of the Community and Economic Development Committee was
<br /> called to order by its Chairperson, Council Member Roland Kelly at 4:20 p.m. in the
<br /> Council informal meeting room.
<br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Aranowski, Pfeifer, Kelly, Broden,
<br /> Varner,Ujdak, Coleman, Sniadecki and Hosinski; Sue Hodgson, Mike Beitzinger, Terry
<br /> Bland, Nancy Van Scoyk, Christian Davey, William Guin, Ron Nicodemus,James Elgin,
<br /> Joseph Miller, William Forrest, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand.
<br /> Council Member Kelly noted that the first Bill to be reviewed was Bill No. 98-77 which is
<br /> a five (5) year residential real property tax abatement request for Beeler & Brown
<br /> Properties, LLC and Davey,LLC for specified lots in the Harvest Pointe Subdivision.
<br /> Mr. Michael Beitzinger, Economic Development Specialist, reviewed the April 15, 1998
<br /> report (copy attached) which noted that the developers propose to construct forty (41) new
<br /> homes ranging in price from $ 135,000 to $ 165,000. The subdivision would be a Villa
<br /> Style community with a total project cost of over six million dollars.
<br /> Mr. Christian Davey noted that the villas would be between 1,800 to 2,000 square feet with
<br /> three bedrooms, two full baths, a cathedral great room, full basement and utilities.
<br /> Council Member Broden spoke in favor of the proposed development. Following
<br /> discussion, Council Member Broden made a motion, seconded by Council Member
<br /> Sniadecki that Bill No. 98-77 be recommended favorable to Council. The motion passed.
<br /> Council Member Kelly noted that the next item on the agenda was Bill No. 98-78 which is
<br /> a five (5) year personal property tax abatement request for O-T-D Corporation for the
<br /> property located at 3722 Foundation Court.
<br /> Mr. Michael Beitzinger, Economic Development Specialist, reviewed the April 7, 1998
<br /> report (copy attached) which noted that the petitioner is in the business of manufacturing,
<br /> selling, leasing and servicing containers for use in the pharmaceuticals, agriculture,
<br /> petrochemical, automotive,printing

<br /> provide exact numbers of minorities hired by the company.
