Committ*s Ztport: <br /> Personnel and Finance <br /> Ito tbt tommon Count fl of the QCtti of ioutb *tub: <br /> The September 28, 1998 meeting of the Personnel and Finance Committee was called to <br /> order by its Chairperson, Council Member John Broden at 3:37 p.m. in the Council <br /> informal meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Councilmembers: Aranowski, Varner, Broden, Coleman, <br /> Kelly Udjak and Pfeifer;Doug Carpenter, Cathy Roemer,and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> The first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 68-98 which would set annual salaries <br /> for the Mayor and the City Clerk for the 1999 calendar year. <br /> Cathy Roemer, City Controller, made the presentation. She noted that the proposed <br /> salaries reflect a 3.25 % increase consistent with that proposed for the non-bargaining and <br /> the Teamster employees. <br /> Councilmember Aranowski made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Varner that Bill <br /> No. 68-98 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. <br /> Under miscellaneous business, Dr. Varner voiced concern regarding the TCI rate matter. <br /> He urged that the City Attorney's office be made aware of the concern that the number of <br /> channels available and the variety of programming are both concerns for the monthly rate <br /> being charged.
