<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br /> INDIANA, APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR CERTAIN DEPARTMENTAL
<br /> AND CITY SERVICES OPERATIONS FOR THE YEAR 2022 OF $840,000 FROM THE
<br /> GENERAL FUND (#101), $968,222 FROM THE PARKS & RECREATION FUND (#201),
<br /> $135,000 FROM THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND (#202), $25,000 FROM THE
<br /> LAW ENFORCEMENT CONTINUING EDUCATION FUND (#220), $2,300,000 FROM THE
<br /> CENTRAL SERVICES FUND (#222), $294,000 FROM THE LIABILITY INSURANCE FUND
<br /> (#226), $226,000 FROM THE MVH RESTRICTED FUND (#266), $875,000 FROM THE SOLID
<br /> WASTE OPERATIONS FUND (#610), $210,000 FROM THE WATER WORKS OPERATIONS
<br /> FUND (#620), $224,165 FROM THE SEWAGE WORKS OPERATIONS FUND (#641), AND
<br /> $550,000 FROM THE CENTURY CENTER OPERATIONS FUND (#670)
<br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
<br /> The Common Council passed the City's 2022 operating and capital budgets via Ordinance
<br /> #10814-21,passed on October 11, 2021, which included expenditures for various City operations. It is
<br /> now necessary to appropriate additional funds for operational and capital expenditures necessary for
<br /> the City to effect provision of services to its citizens which were not anticipated at the time the City
<br /> budget was adopted.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend,
<br /> Indiana, as follows:
<br /> Section I. The following amounts are hereby appropriated in fiscal year 2022 and set apart
<br /> within the following designated funds for expenditures as follows:

<br /> 202 Motor Vehicle Highway 135,000
<br /> 220 Law Enforcement Continuing Education 25,000

<br /> 266 MVH Restricted 226,000
<br /> 610 Solid Waste Operations 875,000
<br /> 620 Water Works Operations 210,000
<br /> 641 Sewage Works Operations 224,165
<br /> 670 Century Center Operations 550,000
<br /> TOTAL $ 6,647,387
<br /> Section II. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the
<br /> Common Council and approval of the Mayor.
