Redevelopment Commission Agenda Item <br />DATE: December 6, 2022 <br />FROM: Kara Boyles; Sarah Barber <br />SUBJECT: Kennedy Park Improvements Budget Request <br />Funding Source* (circle one) River West; River East; South Side; Douglas Road; West Washington; RDC General <br /> *Funds are subject to the City Controller's determination of availability; if funds are unavailable, as solely determined by the City Controller, <br />then the authorization of the expenditure of such funds shall be void and of no effect. <br />Purpose of Request: <br />This budget request is for $186,500 to complete a 50% design plan and grant application components for <br />the Kennedy Park Improvements project. <br />The design contract consists of completion of a survey, limited geotechnical and drainage investigation, <br />conceptual planning, public outreach and preliminary engineering to 50% design for Kennedy Park to <br />meet requirements of an Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership (ORLP) program grant the City of South <br />Bend is pursuing.
