Coututitite t• <br /> Zoning and Annexation Committee <br /> o the Common Council of tbt City of §outb 3Benb: <br /> The August 26, 1996 meeting of the Zoning and Annexation Committee was called to order <br /> at 3:55 P.M. by its Chairperson, Council-Member Tom Zakrzewski in the Council informal <br /> meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Luecke, Kelly, Varner, Zakrzewski, <br /> Coleman, Broden, Washington, and Pfeifer; Jackie Boone, Don Porter, Ken Fedder, <br /> Bernie Feeney, Larry Magliozzi, Jon Hunt, Jim Czerzniak, and Kathleen Cekanski- <br /> Farrand. <br /> The first item on the agenda was to review Substitute Bill No. 65-96 which is a bill to <br /> voluntarily annex certain property in Clay Township, and Resolution No. 96-84 which is <br /> the fiscal plan and policy for services rendered to the Clay Township Annexation <br /> commonly known as the Adler Annexation. <br /> Larry Magliozzi made the presentation. It was noted that the area in question is <br /> approximately one acre containing two lots southwest corner of State Rd. 23 and Maple <br /> Lane Avenue. Mr. Bernie Feeney then added additional information. He noted that the <br /> area in questions would provide additional parking for the pool and and patio store. In <br /> response to a question raised by Council Member Luecke regarding services for snow <br /> plowing, Mr. Magliozzi noted that the city and county engineers would have to work out <br /> the details on that issue. <br /> Following further discussion, Council Member Luecke made a motion seconded be <br /> Council Member Broden that Bill No. 65-96 and Resolution No. 96-84 be recommended <br /> favorably to Council. The motion passed. It was noted that Bill No. 65-96 is an amended <br /> Bill. <br /> Council Member Luecke noted that under Unfinished Business that he has several items <br /> which he would like informally discussed which include: <br /> 1. Adult Homes <br /> 2. Commercial Strips where merchandise is displayed outside of the facility <br /> 3. Requiring lawns instead of dirt in residential areas <br /> Council Member Luecke also noted that the proposed budget dates will be: <br /> September 4-2 to 6 p.m. <br /> September 5 -2 to 6 p.m. <br /> September 6-2 to 6 p.m. <br /> September 10-3 to 6 p.m. <br /> September 11 -2 to 6 p.m. <br /> September 13-3 to 6 p.m. <br /> with September 16 being the public hearing date. Council Member Zakrzewski noted that <br /> he will attempt to schedule an informal meeting of the Zoning and Annexation Committee to <br /> discuss Council Member Luecke's topics as well as others following the budget meetings. <br />
