All rights reserved. This is EXHIBIT A, consisting of 12 pages, referred to in and part of the Agreement between Owner and Engineer for Professional Services dated September 20, 2022. Engineer’s Services Article 1 of the Agreement is supplemented to include the following agreement of the parties. Engineer shall provide Basic and Additional Services as set forth below. PART 1 – BASIC SERVICES A1.01 Project Scope The proposed project consists of the design of the required infrastructure improvements for the YSB Subdivision located on McKinley Avenue within the City of South Bend. Said improvements shall include the survey and design necessary for the construction of the sanitary sewers, drainage systems, storm sewers, water main, street/streetscape design, and lighting. Additionally, the scope includes the evaluation and design recommendations of the existing Corby Street lift station that services the said subdivision area. Based on this evaluation an additional design scope amendment shall be developed for the design of the necessary improvements to the lift station so it may serve the YSB subdivision at the completion of its buildout. Utility coordination shall be performed for electric, gas, and communication utilities required to service the subdivision. The scope does not include design or layout for the relocated Sorin Park, any subdivision services, or site designs for the proposed subdivision area. Detailed survey and design services are as follows: • Topographic and Utility survey of the existing Sorin Park area, adjacent McKinley Avenue west to Hickory Road (for watermain improvements), and survey of the existing Corby Street lift station located south of Corby Blvd., west of Woodcliff Drive. • Design and sizing of the sanitary sewers based on the conceptual utility design and subdivision plat as submitted to the City. This task also includes the preparation of the required IDEM Sanitary Sewer permit for signature and submission to IDEM. • Drainage design for the basins and storm sewers required to accommodate the onsite stormwater runoff of the subdivision area. This shall include the sizing and modeling of the basins as submitted with the subdivision plat. • Design and sizing of the water main for the subdivision area. This also includes designing the water main extension and necessary restoration work to connect the proposed water main to the existing water mains located along McKinley to Hickory Road and the connection to the existing watermain located in Sorin Street adjacent to Sorin Park. This task also includes the preparation of the required IDEM NOI for the construction of the new water main. • Roadway and lighting design based on the layout as submitted with the YSB subdivision. The design shall include all public improvements including the roadway, curb, sidewalk, and parking areas located within the proposed ROW as outlined in the conceptual plans.
