All rights reserved. <br /> <br />This is EXHIBIT A, consisting of 12 pages, referred to in <br />and part of the Agreement between Owner and Engineer <br />for Professional Services dated September 20, 2022. <br />Engineer’s Services <br /> <br />Article 1 of the Agreement is supplemented to include the following agreement of the parties. <br /> <br />Engineer shall provide Basic and Additional Services as set forth below. <br /> <br />PART 1 – BASIC SERVICES <br />A1.01 Project Scope <br />The proposed project consists of the design of the required infrastructure improvements for the YSB <br />Subdivision located on McKinley Avenue within the City of South Bend. Said improvements shall <br />include the survey and design necessary for the construction of the sanitary sewers, drainage systems, <br />storm sewers, water main, street/streetscape design, and lighting. Additionally, the scope includes the <br />evaluation and design recommendations of the existing Corby Street lift station that services the said <br />subdivision area. Based on this evaluation an additional design scope amendment shall be developed for <br />the design of the necessary improvements to the lift station so it may serve the YSB subdivision at the <br />completion of its buildout. Utility coordination shall be performed for electric, gas, and communication <br />utilities required to service the subdivision. The scope does not include design or layout for the relocated <br />Sorin Park, any subdivision services, or site designs for the proposed subdivision area. Detailed survey <br />and design services are as follows: <br /> <br />• Topographic and Utility survey of the existing Sorin Park area, adjacent McKinley Avenue west to <br />Hickory Road (for watermain improvements), and survey of the existing Corby Street lift station <br />located south of Corby Blvd., west of Woodcliff Drive. <br /> <br />• Design and sizing of the sanitary sewers based on the conceptual utility design and subdivision plat <br />as submitted to the City. This task also includes the preparation of the required IDEM Sanitary <br />Sewer permit for signature and submission to IDEM. <br /> <br />• Drainage design for the basins and storm sewers required to accommodate the onsite stormwater <br />runoff of the subdivision area. This shall include the sizing and modeling of the basins as <br />submitted with the subdivision plat. <br /> <br />• Design and sizing of the water main for the subdivision area. This also includes designing the <br />water main extension and necessary restoration work to connect the proposed water main to the <br />existing water mains located along McKinley to Hickory Road and the connection to the existing <br />watermain located in Sorin Street adjacent to Sorin Park. This task also includes the preparation of <br />the required IDEM NOI for the construction of the new water main. <br /> <br />• Roadway and lighting design based on the layout as submitted with the YSB subdivision. The <br />design shall include all public improvements including the roadway, curb, sidewalk, and parking <br />areas located within the proposed ROW as outlined in the conceptual plans. <br />
