Committee Report
Zoning and Annexation
February 26, 1996
Page 2
Mr. Sommers stated that the cost per year for such a Professional Management Group
would be approximately$9,000.00 yearly with the possibility of a three year period being
involved.
Council Member Varner questioned whether it was a management agent or a leasing agent
that was involved.Ann Kolata noted that it was a combination of both.
Council Member Luecke stated that he believes that the C zoning is appropriate and
commended the petitioner for bringing forward the project. He noted that it is exciting to
have residential uses however again strongly recommended a Professional Management
Group since the residential renting area is a tough business. Council Member Colemen
voiced reservations with regard to permitting a residential use and its compatibility with the
surrounding uses. He questioned parking and also strongly recommended that the
Management Professionals be involved as a essential ingredients to a successful program.
Following further discussion, Council Member Luecke made a motion seconded by
Council Member Broden that Bill No. 86-95 be recommended favorably to Council. The
motion passed. Following further discussion, Council Member Luecke made a motion
seconded by Council Member Pfeifer that Resolution No. 96-13 be recommended
favorably. It was noted that Council Member Pfeifer could not second the motion since she
was not a formal member of the committee. Council Member Luecke then made a motion,
seconded
Member Varner that Resolution No.96-13 be recommended favorably to
seco Council
Council.The motion passed.
There being no further business to come before the Committee the meeting was adjourned
at 4:30 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Council Member Tom Zakrzewski,
Chairperson,Zoning and Annexation
Attachments
•
