Klosinski, Assistant City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: 119-069B WWTP Final Clarifiers 1, 2, and 3 Rehabilitation <br />Title Sheet and Request to Advertise <br />DATE: October 3, 2022 <br />The Department of Public Works Division of Engineering and Division of Utilities requests the Board <br />of Public Works approval of a Title Sheet and Request to Advertise for the receipt of Public Bids for <br />Project No. 119-069B Wastewater Treatment Plant Final Clarifiers 1, 2, and 3 Rehabilitation at its <br />October 11, 2022, Board Meeting. <br />Background <br />This project was originally bid as project 119-069 WWTP Secondary and Disinfection <br />Improvements. The project was split into two projects to address the cost of the project. <br />The revised project is divided into two smaller scale projects: <br />119-069A WWTP Final Clarifiers Nos. 4-5, Aeration Tanks Nos. 1-4, and Disinfection <br />Improvements is in the final stage of construction and will be completed in Q4- 2022 <br />119-069B WWTP Final Clarifiers 1, 2, and 3 Improvements (Current Project for Bidding) <br />This project will include the replacement of Final Clarifiers 1, 2, and 3 mechanism, conversion of <br />the tanks from radial feed to up flow clarifiers, influent gate relocation, replacement of the <br />skimming mechanism, new concrete trough, overflow weirs, and instrumentation and controls. <br />This project addresses some hydraulic and treatment equipment improvements in concert with <br />Consent Decree compliance requirements. <br />DFO Project No. PROJ00000367 WWTP Final Clarifiers 1, 2, and 3 Rehabilitation <br />DFO Purchase Requisition PR-000019850 WWTP Final Clarifiers 1, 2, and 3 Rehabilitation <br />Funding Source: 642-06-605-514-442005 Sewage Works Capital Treatment & Disposal Equipment. <br />Letting Schedule: <br />October 14, 2022 – First Advertisement <br />October 21, 2022 – Second Advertisement <br />October 25, 2022 – Pre-Bid Conference at Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />November 22, 2022 – Bid Opening <br />December 13, 2022 – Bid Award (Tentative) <br />For questions regarding the subject agenda request, contact Jacob M.
