Commftttt Ztport: <br /> Public Works and Property Vacation Committee <br /> i0 die COmmon QCountfl of die City of South Stub: <br /> The November 13, 1995 meeting of the Public Works and Property Vacation <br /> Committee was called to order by its Chairperson, Council Member Ann Puzzello at 4:40 <br /> P.M.in the Council informal meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Puzzello, Luecke, Kelly, <br /> Zakrzewski, Duda, Washington, Slavinskas, Coleman, and Ladewski; Jeff Rinard, John <br /> Leszczynski,John Oxian,John Byorni,Don Porter, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> The item to be reviewed by the Committee was Bill No. 64-95 which would <br /> appropriate$141,972.00 from Project Relief. <br /> Mr.Jeff Rinard made the presentation. He provided a handout addressing cash projections <br /> (copy attached). He noted that this is an annual appropriation and that there should be an <br /> approximate cash balance of$30,000.00 projected at that end of the year. <br /> Council President Ladewski questioned whether the fee should be increased and <br /> Mr. Rinard stated that it should be reviewed. <br /> In response to a question raised by Council Member Puzzello, John Leszczynski <br /> noted that the program is to end the first week in December. He noted that 2/3 of the City <br /> has been addressed twice to date to date. <br /> Council Member Coleman questioned the hourly rates of $6.25 per hour. Mr. <br /> Leszczynski stated that this is the best year ever with regard to consistency of employees. <br /> He did not believe that an increase was needed. <br /> Mr.Leszczynski also noted that the present leaf vacuum equipment should last for <br /> approximately 5 to 7 years with no replacements need for that period of time. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Kelly made a motion. seconded by Council <br /> Member Zakrzewski that Bill No. 64-95 be recommended favorably to Council.
