Qtoutttil of tit tit of fout1 3Btttti: <br /> The May 22, 1995 meeting of the Public Works and Property Vacation Committee <br /> was called to order by its Chairperson, Council Member Ann Puzzello at 4:27 P.M. in the <br /> Council informal meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Puzzello, Luecke, Kelly, <br /> Slavinskas, Zakrzewski, Washington, Coleman, Duda, and Ladewski; Eugena Schwartz, <br /> T. Brooks Bradamas, Ann Kolata John McNamara, Cheryl Little, Don Porter, and <br /> Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> The first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 20-95 which is a vacation <br /> request for an alley south of Franklin Street. Eugena Schwartz, the attorney for the <br /> petitioner stated that she would like to have this Ordinance continued until the next Council <br /> meeting of June 12, 1995.The Committee agreed informally to such a request. <br /> The next item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 24-95 which is a vacation <br /> request for an alley east of Ohio Street.Ann Kolata made the presentation on behalf of New <br /> q Y P <br /> Hope Missionary Baptist Church and the Redevelopment Commission. She noted that it is <br /> necessary in order to have further development in the area. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Duda made a motion, seconded by Council <br /> Member Kelly, that Bill No. 24-95 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion <br /> passed. <br /> The Committee then reviewed Bill No. 25-95 which is a vacation request for an <br /> alley north of West Calvert Street. John McNamara made the presentation on behalf of <br /> Habitat for Humanity. He noted that there would be four homes constructed with a square <br /> footage of between 1,100 to 1,200 square feet. Council Member Zakrzewski spoke in <br /> favor of the proposed development in his district. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Kelly made a motion, seconded by Council <br /> Member Duda, that Bill No. 25-95 be recommended favorably to Council.
