COMM tt u deport: <br /> Public Works and Property Vacation Committee <br /> "go the QCOmm011 touutti of t Jt City of S01tt j lBtnti: <br /> The January 9, 1995 meeting of the Public Works and Property Vacation <br /> Committee was called to order by its Vice Chairperson, Council Member Loretta Duda at <br /> 3:45 P.M.in the Council informal meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Puzzello, Kelly, Slavinskas, <br /> Zakrzewski,Washington, Coleman,Luecke,Duda,and Ladewski; Bruce Zakrzewski, Jeff <br /> Gibney,John Oxian,Ann Mannix, Don Porter, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> The first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 123-94 which is an alley <br /> vacation located near South and Main Streets. Mr. Bruce Zakrzewski the Controller for <br /> Transpo made the presentation. He stated that the vacation would assist the development of <br /> an intermodal facility in the further development of Transpo. Council Member Luecke <br /> noted that the Board of Public Works sends the proposed vacation to the Committee with a <br /> favorable recommendation. <br /> Following a discussion, Council Member Kelly made a motion, seconded by <br /> Co uncil Member Z akrze w i,that Bill No. 123-94 be recommended favorably to Council. <br /> The motion passed. <br /> The Committee then reviewed Bill No. 124-95 which is a request to vacate 3 alleys <br /> near Pennsylvania Street. Mr. Jeff Gibney made the presentation. He stated that this would <br /> assist in the development of the Heritage Housing Southeast Project. A total of 3 alleys <br /> would be involved and the entire housing complex would have 45 off-street parking spaces <br /> in the interior. <br /> Council Member Luecke noted that the request comes to the Council with a <br /> favorable recommendation from the Board of Public Works. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Kelly made a motion, seconded by Council <br /> Member Zakrzewski that Bill No. 124-94 be recommended favorably to Council.
