Under Indiana law, I.C. 36-4-7- <br />2(c), the Mayor's salary may not be reduced from the prior year's amount. This ordinance proposes an increase <br />for the Mayor's salary to be commensurate with the proposed increase for non -bargaining employees in 2023. <br />I will present this bill to the Common Council at the appropriate committee and council meetings. It is requested <br />that this bill be filed for 1st reading on September 26, 2022, with 2nd reading, public hearing and 3rd reading <br />scheduled for October 10, 2022.
