$750,000.00 of new equipment which does not qualify for Personal Property Tax <br /> Abatement over and above the property involved in the tax abatement. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Luecke made a motion, seconded by <br /> Council Member Ladewski that Resolution Nos. 94-65 & 94-66 be recommended <br /> favorably to Council.The motion passed. <br /> The committee the reviewed Resolution No. 94-67 which is three year Real <br /> Property Tax Abatement request for the property located at 5307 West Western Avenue. <br /> Mr. Mike Beitzinger reviewed the report from the Community and Economic <br /> Development Committee dated June 20, 1994 (copy attached). Mr. Rick Ferraro, the <br /> President of the company namely RGF, Inc. made further remarks. <br /> Council Member Tom Zakrzewski stated that he knows Rick's brother, Craig and <br /> that the two of them are providing excellent service in the car care industry which they have <br /> built over the past two and a half years. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Slavinskas made a motion, seconded by <br /> Council Member Ladewski that Resolution No. 94-67 be recommended favorably to <br /> council. The motion passed. <br /> The committee then reviewed Resolution No. 94-69 which is a resolution <br /> for Federal Enterprise Community <br /> the mayor to submit an application rp Y <br /> Designation. Pam Meyer made the presentation. She noted that the application is due <br /> tomorrow. The community representation process included meetings of up to 125 people <br /> with over twenty-five community meetings being held over all. She stated that the federal <br /> government will provide a total of approximately $3,000,000.00 for social services block <br /> grant programs and that sixty-five programs will be designated nationally. <br /> Council Member Kelly noted that the community meetings set forth a good cross <br /> section of our City. <br /> Following further discussion, Council Member Slavinskas made a motion, <br /> seconded by Council Member Luecke,that Resolution No. 94-69 be recommended <br /> favorably to Council.The motion passed. <br /> Pam Meyer then introduced the newest employee of the Department of Economic <br /> and Community Development namely Carla Bradley,to the committee. <br /> There being no further business to come before the committee,the meeting was <br /> adjourned at 5:25 p.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Council Member Roland Kelly, Chairperson <br /> Human Resources and Economic Development Committee <br /> RK:KCF:jah <br /> Attachments <br />
