Comm f t s Ztport: <br /> Community and Economic Development Committee <br /> Ito the Common Countfl of the City of •outb Otnb: <br /> The October 24, 1994 meeting of the Community and Economic Development <br /> Committee was called to order at 4:30 P.M. in the Council informal meeting room by its <br /> Chairperson, Council Member Roland Kelly. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Slavinskas, Luecke, <br /> Washington, Kelly, Puzzello, Zakrzewski, Coleman, Duda, and Ladewski; Chief Ron <br /> Marciniak,Don Inks,Frank Perri,Don Porter, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Council Member Kelly noted that the item before the Committee for discussion was <br /> Resolution No. 940101 which is a ten year Real Property Tax Abatement Request for <br /> Tollroad Industrial Partners, II, L.P. <br /> Mr. Don Inks reviewed the favorable report dated October 4, 1994 from the <br /> Department of Community Development. He noted that the building is estimated to cost <br /> Three Million dollars and that the project would create between 40 and 50 permanent new <br /> jobs. <br /> Mr.Frank A.Perri then made a further presentation. <br /> Council Member Luecke stated that this a terrific project and shows the great <br /> success of the Tax Abatement process in the City. <br /> Council Member Washington noted that the attachments to the petition whit regard <br /> to question 10 identifying commitments made for the past five years on minority <br /> employment was missing from his packet of information. The other Council Members <br /> noted that they did not have this information. Mr. Perri noted that he did not have it and <br /> Mr. Inks stated that he would make information available to the Committee. Council <br /> Member Washington stated that he has a growing concern about the blanket statement <br /> regarding this area.He stated that he would like to know more information and have it prior <br /> to the Committee meetings. Council President Puzzello agreed with this request. Council <br /> Member Washington requested the Council Attorney on behalf of the Committee to request <br /> this information specifically from the Community and Economic Development Committee. <br /> Following further discussion, Council Member Slavinskas made a motion, <br /> seconded by Council Member Ladewski that Resolution No. 94-101 be recommended <br /> favorably to Council.The motion passed. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Committee the meeting was <br /> adjourned at 4:43 P.M. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Council Member Roland Kelly, Chairperson <br /> Community and Economic Development Committee <br /> Attachments <br /> ' <br />
