atommittuu Ztport: <br /> Public Works and Property Vacation Committee <br /> 1r0 Uj* common Council of tljt City of gouth lB*n : <br /> The November 14, 1994 meeting of the Public Works and Property Vacation <br /> Committee was called to order at 4:20 P. M. in the Council informal meeting room by its <br /> Chairperson, Council Member Steve Luecke. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Steve Luecke,Roland Kelly,Ann <br /> Puzzello, Lee Slavinskas, Tom Zakrzewski, Sean Coleman, Loretta Duda, and Egune <br /> Ladewski; John Oxian,John Leszczynski,Don Porter, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> The Committee then reviewed Bill No. 100-94 which would appropriate $210, <br /> 700.00 for the Nimtz Parkway Phase III. <br /> Mr. John Leszczynski made the presentation. He noted that$46, 700.00 would be <br /> reimbursed through TIF Bonds back to local roads and streets. He noted that the <br /> $160,700.00 for the Ironwood widening project could be used for the Nimtz Parkway <br /> Phase III. Mr. Leszczynski noted that there will be a February letting of the Ironwood <br /> widening project and that the monies would be in place by that time.Thus a transfer from <br /> the Ironwood widening project to Nimtz Parkway would be appropriate. <br /> Council Member Slavinskas stated that he would support the transfer today so long <br /> as the Ironwood widening project stays on schedule and that funds would be available next <br /> spring. In response to a question raised by Council Member Coleman it was noted that the <br /> Ireland to Brookmede project includes rehabilitation in sanitary sewers and lift stations. Mr. <br /> Leszczynski noted that the City and the County have worked together and that the <br /> Ironwood underpass will shortly be underway with that project taking approximately four <br /> years. <br /> In response to a question raised by Council Member Slavinskas it was noted that <br /> the City will begin on the Ironwood project first South and North and will alternate since <br /> much of the property in the middle of the project is yet to be bought. <br /> Following further discussion, Council Member Ladewski made a motion, seconded <br /> by Council Member Duda that Bill No. 100-94 be recommended favorably to Council.
