COMMITTEE REPORT <br /> UTILITIES COMMITTEE <br /> TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND: <br /> The May 23, 1994, meeting of the Utilities Committee was called to <br /> order by its Chairperson, Council Member Thomas Zakrzewski, at <br /> 4:34 p.m. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Slavinskas, Kelly, <br /> Luecke, Ladewski, Washington, Duda, Coleman, Zakrzewski, Puzzello; <br /> Citizen members John Oxian and William Eagen, Maureen Dabrowiak, <br /> Don Porter, John Leszczynski, Gretchen Bolan, Kenneth Fedder, and <br /> Michael Beitzinger. <br /> The first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 56-94, which is <br /> an Ordinance appropriating $243,300.00 within various accounts of <br /> the Wastewater Fund. <br /> Mr. John Leszczynski made the presentation for this Ordinance. He <br /> explained that this was for Project No. 9002 for the Ironwood Drive <br /> Widening from Brookmede to Ireland Road and includes construction <br /> of the storm-sanitary sewers. Council Member Slavinskas inquired <br /> as to the date for the beginning of this project. Mr. Leszczynski <br /> reported that the bid opening will be September or October, and <br /> hopefully completed by spring. <br /> Council Member Slavinskas made a motion to send Bill No. 56-94 to <br /> the Council favorably, seconded by Council Member Washington.
