Qtomm f tttt Ztpor t: <br /> Zoning and Annexation Committee <br /> to t.1t Common 1tottntt1 of t jt Cali tli of South Otn : <br /> The October 10, 1994 meeting of the Zoning and Annexation Committee was called <br /> to order by its Vice Chairperson, Council Member Cleo Washington at 4:20 P.M. in the <br /> Council informal meeting room. <br /> It was noted that the Chairperson, Council Member Lee Slavinskas was out of <br /> town. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Luecke, Washington, Kelly, <br /> Puzzello,Zakrzewski, Coleman,Duda and Ladewski; Robert Nagle, Al Jacobs, Robert L. <br /> Cole,Mike Beitzinger,Terry Bland, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Council Member Washington noted that the first item to be review was Resolution <br /> No. 94-95 which is a petition of the South Bend Board of Zoning Appeals for the property <br /> located at 606-612 West LaSalle. <br /> Mr. Robert Nagle of the Building Department gave background information. He <br /> noted that the petition was filed by Berean Seventh-Day Church and showed a site plan of <br /> the area . He noted that the Board of Zoning Appeals sends this request to the Common <br /> Council with a favorable recommendation by a vote of 4 to 0.He also noted that there was <br /> no remonstrance at the Board of Zoning Appeals meeting. <br /> Mr. Robert L. Cole representing the church then made the presentation. He noted <br /> that this would eliminate parking in front of homes in the area. Thirty (30)parking spaces <br /> would be created. Mr. L. Jacobs also spoke in favor of the proposed variance. <br /> Council Member noted that he had worshiped at this Church and that it is family <br /> orientated.He stated that the 30 parking spaces would be beneficial to the neighborhood. <br /> Following further discussion, Council Member Duda made a motion, seconded by <br /> Council Member Zakrzewski, that resolution No. 95-95 be recommended favorably to <br /> Council.The motion passed. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Committee the meeting was <br /> adjourned at 4:30 P.M. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Council Member Cleo Washington,Vice Chairperson <br /> Zoning and Annexation Committee <br /> Attachments <br />
