Qtommitttt Ztport: <br /> Zoning and Annexation Committee <br /> �0 tbt COmm0lt Count ii of tbt City of §Olttb enb: <br /> The May 23, 1994 meeting of the Zoning and Annexation Committee was called to <br /> order by it Chairperson, Council Member Lee Slavinskas at 4:50 P.M. in the Council <br /> informal meeting room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members: Slavinskas, Luecke, <br /> Washington, Kelly, Puzzello, Zakrzewski, Coleman, Duda, and Ladewski; Richard <br /> Morgan, Ken Fedder, Dixie Turn, John Byorni, Don Porter, and Kathleen Cekanski- <br /> Farrand. <br /> The first item to be reviewed was substitute Bill No. 18-94 which is a zoning <br /> request for the property located at 322 West Washington Ave. Mr. John Byorni noted that <br /> the staff and the Area Plan Commission send to the Council with a favorable <br /> recommendation. The proposed use for the property would be an advertising agency. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Duda made a motion seconded by Council <br /> Member Zakrzewski that substitute Bill No. 18-94 be recommended favorably e avorabl to Council. <br /> The motion passed. <br /> The Committee then reviewed substitute Bill No. 19-94 which is a zoning request <br /> for the property located at 910 Bruce Street. Mr. John Byorni noted that the request <br /> received a favorably staff recommendation and also a favorable recommendation from the <br /> Area Plan Commission. Mr. Richard Morgan made the presentation.He noted that this is a <br /> third generation operating the Zahoran Funeral Home. If rezoned the petitioner would be <br /> able to build a garage on the vacant lot so that there would be one central location. A <br /> preliminary site plan was presented. Mr. Morgan notes that all contiguous property owners <br /> have signed a petition in favor of the property. <br /> Council Member Zakrzewski spoke in favor of the proposed rezoning. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Zakrzewski made a motion, seconded by <br /> Council Member Washington that substitute Bill No. 19-94 be recommended favorably to <br /> Council.The motion passed. <br /> The Committee then reviewed Bill No. 20-94 which is a rezoning request for the <br /> property located at 3900 Lincolnway West. Mr. John Byorni noted that the staff and the <br /> Area Plan Commission send the petition with a favorable recommendation. <br /> Mr. Ken Fedder made the presentation. Following discussion, Council <br /> Member Zakrzewski made a motion, seconded by Council Member Duda that Bill No. 20- <br /> 94 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. <br /> The Committee the reviewed Bill No. 21-94 which is a rezoning request for the <br /> North West corner of Windfall Drive and Summit Drive. Mr. John Byorni noted that both <br /> the staff and the Area Plan Commission send the Bill to the Council with a favorable <br /> recommendation. Following discussion, Council Member Washington made a motion, <br /> seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski that Bill No. 21-94 be recommended favorably <br /> to Council. The motion passed. <br />
